Notes

'Royal Heritage' hellebore (Helleborus orientalis 'Royal Heritage') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, containers, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It is evergreen and forms a clump that spreads 24 to 36 inches, and bees visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Lungwort, and Wood lily.
