Notes

'Royal Tot' peony (Paeonia 'Royal Tot') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The fragrant cerise blooms have satiny, frilled petals and a loose fringe of buttery yellow stamens. The bush stays about 16 inches tall, and William Henry Krekler bred it in 1985.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Switchgrass, and Pink Impression tulip.
