In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and stays evergreen. It can reach 50 to 100 feet tall and wide outdoors.

Pairs well with Bird of paradise, Mondo grass, Loquat, and Society garlic.
