Notes

'Brown Turkey' fig (Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey') is a fruit for borders, containers, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows fast and gives good crops of brownish figs with pink flesh. Grow it for fresh eating, fig jam, and serving with goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto. It also does well in a pot.

Pairs well with Sage, Oregano, and Thai basil.
