Notes
'Ruffled Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Ruffled Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double magenta blooms have dark purple flares and open to about 5 inches wide. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Roger F. Anderson bred it.
Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Black Parrot tulip.
