Notes
'Sail Away' peony (Paeonia 'Sail Away') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The single flowers open light yellow with pink shading, then fade to creamy ivory, and they have a mild, pleasant fragrance.
Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Pale purple coneflower, and Little Beauty tulip.
