Garden uses

Notes

'Samson' tulip (Tulipa 'Samson') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The red blooms open from early to late spring on stems about 22 inches tall. Inside, each flower has a black base edged in primrose yellow, with dark blue anthers. P.J. Nijssen & Sons bred it.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Hansa rose, and Little bluestem.
