Notes

'Sandia' coneflower (Echinacea 'Sandia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the fragrant flowers.

Pairs well with Prairie dropseed, Blue fescue, and Duchesse de Nemours peony.
