Notes

Sargent crabapple (Malus toringo) is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Pale pink buds open to fragrant white flowers. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the tree. It also tolerates drought, so it needs little care once settled.

Pairs well with Weigela, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Buffalo grass.
