Notes

'Satin Doll' peony (Paeonia 'Satin Doll') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, semi-double flowers are deep pink with a gold center, and butterflies and bees visit them. Julian L. Janus bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Fragrant Bouquet hosta, Eastern columbine, Prairie dropseed, and Nodding onion.
