Notes

Savin juniper (Juniperus sabina) is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. This evergreen has arching green foliage and grows at a moderate rate. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it room, since it can spread 60 to 120 inches wide.

Pairs well with Maiden pink, Blue grama, and Kansas peony.

Northern Africa, Asia, and Europe.
