Notes

'Skandia' savin juniper (Juniperus sabina 'Skandia') is a shrub for borders, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays 12 to 18 inches tall and spreads at least 96 inches, so give it room. Deer tend to pass it by. The arching evergreen branches grow at a moderate rate and tolerate drought.

Pairs well with Blue grama, Matrona october daphne, and Mugo pine.
