Notes

'Scarlet Queen Elizabeth' rose (Rosa 'Scarlet Queen Elizabeth') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, hedges, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its orange-red blooms appear in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Patrick Dickson bred it, and A. Dickson & Sons introduced it in 1965. A survey of well-established roses showed only 0% to 5% infection from black spot, powdery mildew, and rust.

Pairs well with Mock orange, Creeping phlox, and Stargazer lily.
