Notes

'Seaford Skies' blue star (Amsonia 'Seaford Skies') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Sky blue flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees visit the blooms, and the leaves show fall color.

Pairs well with False indigo, Little bluestem, and Black-eyed Susan.
