Notes

'Seika' nandina (Nandina domestica 'Seika') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. This evergreen grows fast to 24 to 30 inches tall, tolerates drought and salt, and attracts birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Flowers open in spring and early summer.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Fountain grass, and Pansy.
