Notes

'Richmond' nandina (Nandina domestica 'Richmond') is an evergreen shrub with an erect habit. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a rapid rate and tolerates drought and salt. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Flowers open in early to late spring, and birds visit the plant.

Pairs well with Bloodgood Japanese maple, Daffodil, and Damask rose.
