Notes

'Emerald Sea' nandina (Nandina domestica 'Emerald Sea') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast to 48 to 60 inches tall, stays evergreen, and tolerates drought and salt. Birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Paperbark maple, Daffodil, and Juneberry.
