Notes

'Sekka' hybrid willow (Salix udensis 'Sekka') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Silver-gray blooms with yellow anthers open in early to late spring and attract bees. It sits low on the menu for deer. This shrub grows fast, so give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Sweet pepperbush, and Culver’s root.
