Notes

'Shaggy Dog' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Shaggy Dog') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant white flowers have deep raspberry streaking and shaggy petals. Strong stems hold the blooms up on plants about 30 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it in 1995.

Pairs well with Lupine, Cinnamon fern, and Blue sage.
