Notes

'Sherry' loquat (Eriobotrya japonica 'Sherry') is a small tree for food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It is grown for early, apricot-flavored fruit, and it is self-fertile. Fragrant white flowers open in winter and draw hummingbirds and bees. Plant it in a sunny, protected spot, since a cold snap can hurt fruit set.

Pairs well with Persimmon, Blueberry, Society garlic, and Jasmine.
