Notes

'Shi-pen-kue' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Shi-pen-kue') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It forms a compact, medium-size clump with single flowers that sit close to the foliage. The blooms are large and aster purple with dark pink carpel tips. Millet & Son bred it.

Pairs well with Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Queen of Night tulip, and Cinnamon fern.
