Notes
'Shinso-jibiki' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Shinso-jibiki') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Millet bred it in 1911, and it bears single, light amaranth pink flowers in mid to late spring. The plant spreads, so give it room.
Pairs well with Pink Impression tulip, Royal fern, and White snakeroot.
