Notes
'Silberschmelze' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Silberschmelze') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double blooms open cream with pink shading and carmine-red edges, then age to white. Goos & Koenemann introduced it in 1930. It grows up to 31 inches tall.
Pairs well with Prairie Sun rudbeckia, Royal fern, and Black Parrot tulip.
