Notes

'Silver Queen' silver maple (Acer saccharinum 'Silver Queen') is a tree for specimen planting, shade, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a rapid rate and reaches 40 to 50 feet tall with an erect form. Greenish-yellow flowers open in early to late spring, and bees and butterflies visit them. Give it plenty of room to spread.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Sensitive fern, and Common snowberry.
