Notes

'Silver Shell' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Silver Shell') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white flowers measure 6½ to 7 inches across, with two rows of glistening guard petals and light yellow stamens in the center. Strong, stiff stems hold the blooms upright. Gilbert H. Wild & Son bred it, and the flowers last well after cutting.

Pairs well with Black Parrot tulip, Sensitive fern, Catnip, and Flamingo Feather celosia.
