'Smiling Queen' tulip (Tulipa 'Smiling Queen') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. The purple-red blooms open in early to late spring on stems about 24 inches tall. The flowers are rose neyron in color, with silvery pink edges and a white base. N.L.A. Roozen bred it.

Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Bartzella peony, and Little bluestem.
