Notes
'Snow Queen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Snow Queen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The early white blooms are full doubles with a collar of hidden stamens that open in early to mid spring. Deep green foliage sits on stems about 36 inches tall. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1979.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Great blue lobelia, and Cinnamon fern.
