Notes

'Snowman' cornflower (Centaurea cyanus 'Snowman') is an annual for borders, cut flower gardens, and cottage gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in spring and summer, drawing butterflies, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Common poppy, False Queen Anne's lace, and California poppy.
