Notes

'Somerset' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Somerset') is a tree for a food garden or pollinator garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. The columnar shape fits small spaces. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers from early to late spring. You grow it for fresh eating, but you need a second cherry tree nearby because it is not self-fertile.

Pairs well with Rowan, Thalia daffodil, Hummingbird sweet pepperbush, and Scentara Double Blue lilac.
