Notes

'Somerville' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Somerville') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. William Henry Krekler bred it. The pink flowers have silver edges and reflexed outer petals. Stems reach nearly three feet and carry large, glossy leaves that form a dense, compact plant.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Lilac, and Queen of Night tulip.
