Notes

'Songbird Cardinal' columbine (Aquilegia 'Songbird Cardinal') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Foxglove, Siberian iris, Silver feather grass, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
