Notes
'Sonnenkind' tickseed (Coreopsis 'Sonnenkind') is a perennial for naturalized plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. Yellow flowers open from early to late summer and brighten the garden. The plants stay compact, growing 12 to 18 inches tall and spreading 9 to 12 inches. That size suits the front of a sunny planting.
Pairs well with Blue grama, Hairy aster, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
