Notes

'Splendens' coralbells (Heuchera sanguinea 'Splendens') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Red flowers appear in spring and again in summer, and they draw hummingbirds, bees, and birds. The clumping plant is drought tolerant and fragrant.

Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Blue Angel hosta.
