Notes

'Splendens' oleander (Nerium oleander 'Splendens') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and containers. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast, stays evergreen, and has fragrant flowers in spring and summer that attract butterflies. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Salt and drought do not bother it.

Pairs well with Seagrape, Sago palm, and Vetiver.
