Notes

'Sprightly' peony (Paeonia 'Sprightly') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The fragrant flowers open in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. Walter J. Guille bred it.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Wide Brim hosta, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
