Notes

'St. Nicholas' rose (Rosa 'St. Nicholas') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and loamy or clay soil. Fragrant, deep pink flowers open in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. Robert James bred it. The plant sets hips after bloom.

Pairs well with Bowl of Beauty peony, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and The President clematis.
