Notes

'Starfire' rose (Rosa 'Starfire') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It has a bushy habit and fragrant, medium red blooms. Flowers open in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Dr. Walter E. Lammerts bred it in 1959.

Pairs well with Foxglove, Fountain grass, and The President clematis.
