Notes

'Starlight' peony (Paeonia 'Starlight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant cream blooms with yellow centers attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1949.

Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Prairie dropseed, Nodding onion, and Krossa Regal hosta.
