Notes

Starry campion (Silene stellata) is a perennial for woodland gardens, meadows, naturalized areas, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers with deeply fringed petals appear in clusters atop tall, slender stalks. Butterflies and moths pollinate this delicate wildflower, and bees visit it too.

Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Black-eyed Susan, and Big bluestem.
