Notes
'Steve Nickell' peony (Paeonia 'Steve Nickell') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, single, fragrant blooms are light pink with a cream center. Bees and butterflies visit them, and William Henry Krekler bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with June hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Nodding onion.
