streambank mock orange

Notes

Streambank mock orange (Philadelphus hirsutus) is a shrub. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. White flowers open from early to late spring. In the wild it grows on bluffs, rock outcrops, and stream banks in the southeastern United States. It can reach about 84 inches tall, so give it room to grow.

Pairs well with Juneberry, Christmas fern, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
