Notes

'Summer Sun' rose (Rosa 'Summer Sun') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The bushy plant reaches about 73 inches tall and has dark green leaves. Fragrant orange-pink flowers open in late spring, again in summer, and into early autumn, and bees visit them. Dr. Neil D. Adams bred it in 1993.

Pairs well with Jersey tea, Black-eyed Susan, Switchgrass, and Casa Blanca lily.
