Notes

'Sunglow' peony (Paeonia 'Sunglow') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light yellow blooms with light red flares open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies visit the flowers, and Derek Irvine bred this cultivar.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Heather, and Buffalo grass.
