'Sunrise' border forsythia (Forsythia intermedia 'Sunrise') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Bright yellow flowers open in early to mid spring. It grows 48 to 72 inches tall and wide, so give it room.
Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Peony, and Autumn fern.
