Notes
'Sutter's Gold' rose (Rosa 'Sutter's Gold') is a shrub for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This upright rose grows 28 to 39 inches tall and bears fragrant orange blooms. Flowers open in late spring, again in early to late summer, and once more in early autumn. The dark green leaves set off the flowers well. Herbert C. Swim bred it.
Pairs well with Cosmos, Autumn fern, and Rainbow's End hosta.
