Notes

'Sutton's Purple' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Sutton's Purple') is a columnar tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Its flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees and butterflies. The cherries are grown for eating fresh and ripen in mid season. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Pagoda dogwood, Paprika yarrow, and Ice Follies daffodil.
