Notes

Swamp lily (Crinum powellii) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Its pink flowers are fragrant and open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Plants grow 35 to 59 inches tall, so place them toward the back of a bed.

Pairs well with Desdemona leopard plant, Jerusalem sage, and Fountain grass.
