Notes

'Sweet Melody' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sweet Melody') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, light pink blooms have cream undertones and open from late spring to early summer. Stems are strong, so the plants stand up well in a vase. Don Hollingsworth bred it in 1992.

Pairs well with Monkshood, Cinnamon fern, and Tall fescue.
