Notes

'Sweet White' dianthus (Dianthus barbatus 'Sweet White') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The fragrant white flowers make a high-quality, cool season cut flower. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Coral Sunset peony, Butterfly bush, and Stained Glass hosta.
