Notes
'Amazon Rose Magic' dianthus (Dianthus barbatus 'Amazon Rose Magic') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Fragrant pink, rose, and white flowers open from early to late spring on long, tough stems. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Red Charm peony, Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Casa Blanca lily, and The President clematis.
